The Pilgrim's Progress: Ch. 1-4

An audio dramatization of the classic allegory

The second most widely published and translated book in the world (behind the Bible), The Pilgrim’s Progress has encouraged and edified Christians for centuries. I couldn’t think of a reason it didn’t belong on my Substack.

The publishers of this edition graciously granted me permission to record and publish myself reading their copy on my podcast for you!

Thanks for reading All Things Testify! This post is public so feel free to share it.

I have read a few different versions of The Pilgrim’s Progress, but this has been my absolute favorite. Barry Horner did an excellent job of retaining the original story while making it easier to read. The language is not too old, but it’s not too modern either. It also includes plenty of footnotes and all the references for the scriptures John Bunyan was illustrating as he wrote.

I’ll be dramatizing The Pilgrim’s Progress on my podcast this month, but if you would like to purchase a copy of this edition for yourself, you can purchase it here:

But if not, I hope you’ll enjoy my reading of the book across the month of March!
